Walkin' in the Creek

Walkin’ in the Creek Published in Inkpot Literary Magazine

I’m thrilled to share some wonderful news with you—my poem, “Walkin’ in the Creek,” has officially been published with Inkpot Literary Magazine.

There’s something deeply special about seeing a poem find its home in a literary space that values voice, imagery, and emotional resonance, and I’m honored to have this piece included among their published works.

Walkin’ in the Creek is a poem close to my heart, rooted in reflection, memory, and the quiet beauty found in nature’s smallest moments. I have a fond memory of being 10, and walking in the Sugarhouse Park creek barefoot on the Fourth of July with my best friend. Like the gentle movement of water over stone, this poem captures a sense of time, place, and feeling that I hope lingers with readers long after the final line.

I’m so grateful to Inkpot Literary Magazine for giving this poem a place to live and breathe.

Thank you, as always, for supporting my writing journey. Moments like this remind me why words matter and how powerful it is to share them with others.

With gratitude,
Haley Cavanagh
