Dear Readers,
Happy Autumn! I hope, wherever and whoever you are, you’re enjoying the magic of the changing leaves and cooler weather. Pumpkin spice, piles of leaves, hot chocolate, and comfy sweaters have always been my jam.
If you’ve been following me for a while, you may have noticed something unusual: I haven’t published a new book since Shadowed Skies.
And yes—I’m still here! 😊
While I don’t have a brand-new release to announce yet, I wanted to take a moment to update you on what I’ve been working on and what you can look forward to over the next couple of years.
A Year of Learning
This year, I’ve decided to take a slightly different path and focus on something that’s been important to me for a while: continuing my education.
I’m currently working toward a post-baccalaureate degree through a university, which has taken up a good amount of my time and mental energy. It’s a different kind of creative challenge, but one I’m really enjoying.
Writing has always been a huge part of my life, but so has learning. I often tell my daughters this, but an education is the one thing no one can ever take from you, and it’s so important for everyone to pursue, both for professional and personal growth. I’m taking this year to invest in myself, expand my skills, and explore some new possibilities—and I’m trying to give myself permission to enjoy the process rather than feeling like I always need to be racing toward the next publication.
That doesn’t mean the stories have stopped.
Far from it.
The Stories Are Still There
I actually have two or three novels sitting on the back burner right now, with 2/3 of them being fully written.
They’re at various stages of development, and I’m not quite ready to announce all the details yet. Some ideas have been patiently waiting for me to come back to them, while others are still taking shape in the background.
So while 2026 may not be the year of a new book release, 2027 and 2028 are looking much more interesting.
My hope is that the next couple of years will give me the time and space to return to those stories, decide which ones are ready to take center stage, and eventually bring them to you.
In the meantime, Shadowed Skies is still my newest published novel, and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who has read it, reviewed it, recommended it to a friend, or simply cheered me on along the way.

I’m excited to be participating in Utah Authors Day at the Kaysville Library and look forward to meeting readers closer to home. I’ll have books available and will be giving a presentation on writing and publishing. I will also be signing books afterward, and there WILL be swag! Thank You for Sticking Around
I know it can be easy to disappear into the background when there isn’t a shiny new book announcement every few months. 😄
But I want you to know that I haven’t stopped writing, and I certainly haven’t stopped thinking about stories.
Sometimes life gives us seasons for publishing, and sometimes it gives us seasons for learning, dreaming, planning, and figuring out what comes next.
Right now, I’m embracing the latter.
Thank you for continuing to follow along, read my books, share my posts, come to events, recommend my stories, and support me through all of these different seasons.
Your support means more to me than you probably realize.
And who knows? Somewhere in the next year or two, I may just show up with a manuscript I’ve been quietly working on and say, “Okay…I think it’s time.”
